sponsor a player

The U’s Ladies season kicks off in August with players available for another season of sponsorship under our unique sponsorship system...

Wanting to get more involved with the Ladies' Team this season? Then why not back the flourishing female set-up at Colchester United by sponsoring one of the players? Your contribution will give invaluable assistance to a very grateful player.

Why Sponsor a Ladies Player?

THESE PLAYERS NEED YOU!

We introduced the concept of individual player sponsorship in the 2002/2003 season and were very successful in securing individual sponsors for 20 of our senior players, during season 2003/2004 36 players were kindly sponsored by individuals and organisations and this was followed up in season 2004/2005 with 33 players attaining sponsorship.

By sponsoring a player you will;

  • Raise funds for the Ladies Club

  • Assist a player with their signing on fee

  • Promote the women's game nationally and locally

  • Be held in high esteem by the U's Ladies Club

As we do not receive financial backing from any other organisations, we rely solely on the generosity of others and our own fund raising activities for us to continue as a club. We hold aspirations of playing professional football in the near future, but until that time we would ask that you, the U’s fans consider the opportunity of helping us to achieve that goal.

How does your sponsorship help us?

This is where the idea of individual player sponsorship was borne, by agreeing to sponsor a player(s) for the season 2005/2006 you will enable us to continue to offer our players the very best opportunities in football.

-          The players individual signing on fee will be paid by your contribution

-          The player may receive a club tracksuit (subject to confirmation of budgets)

-          The player will receive weekly professional coaching from our qualified coaches

-          The player will have access to treatment from the U’s physio, Stuart Ayles

-          Free transport to the games which take place all over the East of England.

Loctite UK generously sponsored four U’s Ladies last season

Anybody can sponsor a player or players so why not club together with your friends?
Last Season members of the CULFC Message Board and CUFC Message Board joined forces and sponsored
ENGLAND U17 and COE Player Kate Longhurst as well as long serving midfielder Katy Halls

Your assistance will help to ensure that we are able to continue to offer the best football facilities to any female footballer in the area and ensure that we maintain our goal of becoming the most professional Ladies and Girls club in this region.  From our Centre of Excellence teams to the Academy (now into it's second year) through to the senior section of the club, every penny counts!!!

So What Do You Get?

- A photograph of your chosen player.

- Recognition of your sponsorship on the CULFC Website, the CUFC Official Website, the CUFC Fanzine and your player will be featured at least once this season on the ladies page in the CUFC Matchday Magazine.

- Free entrance to the Ladies Annual Awards Night.

What Does It Cost?

For season 2005/2006 the Sponsorship Fee will be set in the very near future, (last season it cost just £100)
We have also introduced an instalment payment system to help you spread the cost with smaller payments of a set amount each month, helping you to help us!
