The under 10 squad are the youngest of our Centre of Excellence teams and some players are selected from as young as age 8.  The Girls Player Development centre was set up to establish a clear line of progression for the very youngest talent to enable girls to benefit from a top quality professional coaching environment from the very youngest age.  Emma Wake has been appointed as head coach for this 06/07 season and Academy player Kate Longhurst will assist her.

Emma comes with a wealth of experience and is currently the 'Women and Girls Football Development Officer' for Essex County F.A.  She also spent many years in America both as a player and a coach and her enthusiasm and positive coaching style will be invaluable to our very youngest group of players.  Kate Longhurst is herself a graduate of the Centre of Excellence programme and she is currently in her second year at the Female Academy.  She also represents the women's team and has been selected for the England U19 squad.
